체육전공학생의 장애인체육 봉사 경험을 통한 장애인식과 진로 계획 변화 과정 탐색
본 연구는 체육전공학생의 장애인체육 봉사 경험을 통한 장애인식 및 진로에 대한 변화 과정을 탐색하는 데에 그 목적이 있다. 연구 참여자는 신설된 장애인체육 강의를 수강하는 학생 중 장애인체육교육과 봉사활동 경험이 없는 학생을 중심으로 5명을 선 정하였고, 자료수집은 사전인터뷰 및 심층면담, 자료 분석은 Strauss와 Colbin(1998)의 근거이론방법에 기초하여 개념을 도출하여 개방코딩, 축코딩, 선택코딩으로 실시하였다. 핵심범주로는 ‘I Can do it. 할 수 있다’가 도출되었다. 이는 장애인들도 자신이 할 수 있는 것은 스스로 헤쳐 나가고 있었으며, 먼저 도움을 주는 것을 원치 않았다. 또한 연구 참여자들도 장애인체육전문가로서의 도전을 통해 새로운 진로에 대한 생각을 하 게 되었다. 체육전공학생의 장애인식 및 진로 계획에 대한 변화 과정 모형으로는 환경 의 변화, 인식, 알아가기, 위기, 도전, 제한된 실습, 배움, 변화, 성장의 단계로 나아갔다. 결론으로는 첫째, 환경의 변화와 전공에 대한 불안함이 아닌 도전과 기회로 삼았다. 둘째, 장애인은 조금 늦을 뿐이었고, 그들 스스로 하려고 하며 대화가 가능한 사람들이 라는 것을 알게 되었다. 셋째, 장애인식이 변화되고 이해하게 되면서 장애인체육 전문가 로서의 나의 진로에 대한 계획을 생각하게 되었다. 본 연구는 장애인 체육교육에 대한 단순한 이론학습이 아닌 직접적인 장애인체육을 경험할 수 있는 봉사활동이 체육전공학생들에게 장애인 체육에 대한 두려움과 우려를 줄여주고 장애인식과 진로에 긍정적인 영향을 주었다는 점에서 평생교육으로서 체육교 육과 장애인교육의 측면에서 매우 중요한 시사점을 제시하였다.
Exploration of the disabled recognition and career planning process through the physical education students' experience in adapted physical education
The purpose of this study is to explore the process of change in the attitudes and careers of physical education students through the experience of physical education for the disabled. Participants of the study selected 5 students who had no experience in physical education for the disabled and volunteer activities among the students who took the physical education for the disabled. Based on this, the concept was derived and implemented with open coding, axis coding, and selective coding. The core category was 'I Can do it.'. People with disabilities were going through what they could do, and they didn't want to help first. In addition, the participants of the study came to think about a new career path through the challenge as a sports expert for the disabled. The change process model has advanced to the stages of environmental change, awareness, learning, crisis, challenge, limited practice, learning, change, and growth. In conclusion, first, it was taken as a challenge and opportunity, not anxiety about changes in environment and major, and second, people with disabilities were only a little late, and they found out that they are people who are able to talk and do it themselves. Third, as the attitude toward the disabled was changed and understood, I came to think of a plan for my career as a sports specialist for the disabled.
